Omg I just started on the second to last row of the chevron blanket! I have 2 rows and edging! I won’t be adding fleece to this one. This blanket is by far my favorite baby blanket I’ve ever made. Absolutely amazing!

So how many things can I crochet in my house...
I want to crochet valences for my bedroom and bathroom, and I was thinking of maybe something for our kitchen table..? But I don’t want it to look like an old ladies house..

30 Days of Crochet: Day 14
What’s the worst yarn/fiber you’ve worked with and why? I haven’t worked with too many different kinda of yarn. I mostly buy what’s really soft or for babies because it feels that all I make is baby blankets.

Do you have a yarn you love but can’t fine a project for? NO WAY! Give me any yarn, and I’ll find something to do with it!

Where do you keep your stash? I have a huge basket my mom gave me sitting in my living room full of yarn, and I have a ton of skeins sitting on top of it too. I’m going to ask my husband to hang some shelves for me so I can use the basket as a toy chest for our daughter.

I FINALLY FINISHED THE TAN BABY BLANKET! I have been crocheting this thing for.. Actually, one year this month. Ever since I found out I was pregnant. But because of my carpel tunnel, I had to put it down for a few months. It feels amazing to be finished. And although this blanket was originally for my daughter before I found out she was a girl, I’m glad my little nephew will get to enjoy...

30 Days of Crochet: Day 11
Do you have a crocheting hero? Yes. My grandmother. She made countless blankets for us when I was a kid. After she died, my grandfather gave me her crochet bag which has an unfinished baby blanket in it. It’s one of the most valuable things I own.

Do you have a favorite pattern or designer? I think my favorite kind of pattern would be any granny square. It seems like it goes faster than just crocheting one giant blanket. No favorite designer.

30 Days of Crochet: Day 8
What’s your most challenging project? Nothing I’ve ever made has been *challenging*, but I have a feeling that it’s going to take a lot for me to finish a blanket for myself. I don’t have a lot of patience so I like small projects that don’t take a lot of time. This is something that I’m going to really have to tell myself to finish because the end result will...

I really am so excited to finish these blankets for babies so I can start on something for myself. Next week I am going to the Hobby Lobby to pick out yarn!

30 Days of Crochet: Day 7
Your least favorite? There have been a few things that I’ve made that I didn’t like, so I just took out the stitches. I really can’t recall anything specific though.. Just random things.

What is your favorite piece that you’ve crocheted? I love everything I’ve made, but I think my favorites are the baby blankets I have made. I love knowing that sweet babies are using them.

How long did it take you from the time you learned how to crochet to finish your first project? It took me a few months because I ended up moving while I was in the middle of it.

30 Days of Crochet: Day 4
How did you learn how to crochet? I actually taught myself by watching video blogs online. And even now if I don’t know a stitch I’ll youtube it to see how to do it correctly.

Do you have any other WIP (works in progress)? Yes. I’m making a little amigurumi elephant pillow for my niece. I’m trying to finish what I start before moving onto more stuff. I have so many things lined up though!

I think I may make some of these little guys... →
I love granny squares. Maybe I’ll start on some of these and eventually make myself something lovely. Everything I always make is for someone else. I think I may enjoy something beautiful too!

30 Days of Crochet: Day 1
What was your first finished project? My first crochet project was a granny square baby blanket I made for my niece. I used the brightest colors, sewed fleece on the back, and little flower buttons in the center of each square. (There is probably a picture in my archive somewhere…)
